Since there are a vast different types of driftwood that anyone can use for their aquarium, which type do you use? Have you tried any of the tricks that are very common in order to make them sink faster (if they were not already inside of water and sinking on their own when bought)? How long did it take for your driftwood to sink fully without having to have it dig it into the substrate, have it tied down with weights, or any other method used.
For me personally, it too about 6-8 months for a piece of Malaysian driftwood to sink on it's own, even after trying to have it boil for a few minutes in a big pan. Sadly, when I bought this piece of driftwood it was completely dried so it had no weight and was not water logged yet.
